Résumé: 40 M Under is a dance film by choreographer Alexander Ekman, featuring Cullberg Ballet. Recorded in the summer of 2009, the film portrays an underground installation set within a former nuclear reactor hall at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Ekman plays with perspective, tempo, and images, to showcase the strong personalities of the Cullberg Ballet dancers and highlight choreographic details that go unnoticed in conventional stage performance.
