Résumé: A Crossroad Called Manzanar is an historically-accurate narrative short film, set in California during World War II. In the wake of Pearl Harbour, racial tensions deepen in Boyle Heights, a diverse suburb of Los Angeles. Anti-Japanese propaganda crop up all around town, and Japanese-owned businesses are vandalised. As the xenophobia increases, the Chinese residents of Boyle Heights feel pressured to distinguish themselves from their unpopular Japanese neighbours.
