After falsely confessing to a crime so that Joy wouldn't have to go to jail, Earl faces the reality of his actions as he is sentenced to two years in prison. Earl finds himself compromising his ethics in order to keep Glen at bay. Joy agrees to take Randy in, and she decides that she needs to teach him how to make his own decisions, and be self-reliant.
