Chieftain Olav and his Viking warriors return from a raid. They have found the map to a new world full of riches. The Vikings have also captured the decadent and self-righteous Rufus, an actor from Rome. After a relatively unsuccessful turn as substitute chieftain, Orm is obliged to step down upon the return of his brother. And the great warrior Arvid hatches a cunning plan to secure himself a wife and a farm. A duel is to take place in the village of Norheim.
