When a dog food company holds auditions for a new mascot Charlie thinks he's their dog. He tries out but it's Itchy who gets the job. Later as Charlie grumbles about his so-called partner stealing his job Itchy's fame as the Gulp Dog grows to a fevered pitch. When the Hollywoodized Itchy saunters into The Flea Bite Charlie and Itchy get into a fight accusing each other of awful unfriendly things. At Sasha's encouragement Charlie goes to the studio to help Itchy celebrate his success. Instead he discovers that the executive are mistreating Itchy who's caged like an animal. Charlie decides to liberate his friend during a special live broadcast of a new Gulpo flavors. Charlie sneaks special chemicals into the food that make Itchy react violently.
