Beau is conned out of money he is holding for a friend by a team of grifters who sell him some worthless land. Now, as hard as he tries to trick the con artists to get the money back, they stay ahead of him at every turn. Beau feels he is a disgrace to the Maverick name until a pretty young con woman tells him her grandmother was as Maverick.
