When the body of a woman washes up on a beach in Northern Ireland, Detective Boyd is called to investigate. But he’s not the only detective with an interest in the case. Detective Regan from across the border in the Republic of Ireland shows up at the crime scene as the victim is believed to have been murdered in the south and drifted north across the international border. Despite the different jurisdictions, both detectives are ordered by their respective bosses to work as a team. It’s the beginning of a fractious, funny and touching relationship. The woman was part of a hen party. Could one of the other hens be the murderer? Or was it one of the many visitors to a town with a notorious reputation for wild stag and hen parties? Or maybe a local resident is responsible for the brutal murder? Meanwhile, Boyd is forced to face up to demons from his tragic past that he has kept secret from everyone including his wife. In a thrilling climax, Regan and Boyd flush out the woman’s killer.
