Blaming herself for Swarek’s disappearance and fearing for his life, Andy struggles to find a lead. Recalling her own experiences with Brennan, Andy begins to wonder if the car accident that killed Brennan’s wife and child might have something to do with Swarek’s disappearance. Hoping that finding Brennan will mean finding Swarek, she enlists the help of the other rookies to investigate the crash – where they discover an elaborate cover-up that incriminates one of their own… Detective Donovan Boyd. While Swarek struggles to survive Brennan’s vicious interrogation, the rookies figure out where he’s being held and race to the scene. Swarek is found and Brennan is arrested; but for Andy and Swarek, the celebration is short-lived. In the wake of the chaos, they both find themselves suspended from the job that means so much to them – the very job that brought them together in the first place.
