A drug dealer, Gideon Stone, whose Afghan drugs operation has cost the lives of British soldiers, is in the UK and needs taking out. Mercer's orders are to watch and wait but he knew one of Stone's victims and soon loses his patience. It then emerges that Stone is no ordinary drug dealer and Symmonds has his own motives for ordering the hit.
