When a travelling theatre group comes to Florence and holds auditions for their play, Tom is delighted to be cast as the leading lady. Not only does she get to dress like a girl, she gets to play Leo's romantic love interest - she's sure the play's the thing to finally win his heart! But on opening night, there's danger lurking in the wings and Leo and Tom find themselves caught up in a daring crime. Meanwhile, Piero takes another step towards seizing power.
