Mike’s (Michael J. Fox) plan to get closer to Eve (Juliette Goglia) through an internship at the station backfires when she’s poached by his nemesis, Susan Rodriguez Jones (guest star Anne Heche). As Ian (Conor Romero) looks for an intern for his internet startup, Annie (Betsy Brandt) struggles with giving Leigh (Katie Finneran) an honest appraisal of her young adult novel.
