Résumé de l'épisode 6

In this programme, on the Greek island of Ikaria Jamie finds out how whole grain cracked wheat – which could be one of the reasons local people live so long – is prepared the traditional way and helps make a tasty Ikarian speciality, Trahana. Meanwhile, on the Japanese island of Okinawa, Jamie discovers the super food secrets behind local fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices and learns the islanders' belief in Nuchi Gusui – 'let food be your medicine' – from 95-year-old Shoei Kingo who incorporates all the health-giving food he grows into his diet to build a life bursting with vitality. Bringing what he's learnt back to the UK, Jamie creates a days' worth of super-nutritious and delicious meals, including: a super-charged 'health bomb' breakfast of Black Rice Pudding, Mango, Lime, Passion Fruit & Coconut; delicious Green Tea Roasted Salmon, Ginger Rice and Sunshine Salad for a lunch that will make you smile and beautiful Seared Turmeric Chicken, Houmous, Peppers, Couscous & Greens for dinner.
