Shaken by the war experience, English soldiers return along with plague-bearing rats. Ralph is rewarded with an Earldom and wealth almost equal to Roland’s. Prior Godwyn continues to build his palace with pilfered gold from the church. A near riot breaks out over the redistribution of land. Edward confronts Isabella over her selfish desires and finally has a resolution for her evil ways. The plague wreaks havoc on the Kingdom, leaving few unscathed. A completely insane Prior Godwyn tries to escape only to be welcomed by a deadly surprise from Petranilla.
