Résumé de l'épisode 8

After being caught with a stockpile of nuclear weapons in the trunk of his limousine, the evil Destroyo is brought to trial. With Batmanuel, Arthur and The Tick all slated to testify against him, Captain Liberty is assigned the task of guarding Destroyo during the court proceedings. However, when Batmanuel is asked about the car accident that exposed Destroyo's deadly weapons cache, he's intimidated by the supervillain and quickly decides against doing anything that would put his own life in danger. Meanwhile, in an effort to undermine her confidence, Destroyo goes to work on Captain Liberty's psyche. Realizing that the only hope of putting Destroyo away rests with their testimony, Arthur gets to work on researching the supervillain's life, uncovering his past as a prospective ballet star in the former Soviet Union. However, when Destroyo convinces the judge that The Tick failed to exercise due process, the evidence against him is thrown out, leaving the case in jeopardy. And when The Tick complains, he's jailed for contempt of court. With all other witnesses in the case killed by Destroyo's henchmen, Batmanuel and Arthur worry about their own safety. Yet, when Destroyo's old ballet teacher arrives, Arthur sees a chance to win the case after all. After The Tick repels another last minute assassination attempt at the courthouse, Arthur is called to testify. And even though Destroyo tries to intimidate him, too, Arthur uses his fall from grace in the dance world to send the supervillain over the edge and convince the judge and jury of his guilt.
